MĀʻONA FOOD SECURITY GRANT - $1,150,000

Maui United Way is proud to announce the recipients of its Mā‘ona Food Security Grant, a new initiative addressing critical food security challenges in Maui County, especially in the wake of the 2023 wildfires.

Through this $1.15 million investment, 13 local organizations will expand access to fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food for kūpuna, keiki, displaced families, and others facing barriers. Funded initiatives include community farming, mobile grocery delivery, and culturally significant food programs that strengthen both health and tradition.
